However, achieving truly effective sound insulation while maintaining ultimate transparency has always been a technical challenge in the industry. Recently, SSJPARTITION completed a 94mm Thickness double-glass movable partition wall project in Singapore, delivering a satisfying solution through exceptional craftsmanship and design.
This project utilizes SSJPARTITION’s specially designed 94mm 5+5+1.14mm laminated tempered clear double-glass movable partition. The double-layer 5mm tempered glass with a 1.14mm PVB interlayer not only significantly enhances impact resistance and safety but also excels in acoustic performance. The entire system has passed authoritative testing, achieving a genuine sound insulation rating of 49dB with a complete test report, ensuring a truly quiet and independent environment while dividing the space.
To meet the aesthetic demands of high-end spaces, the profiles in this project feature a powder coating finish with color code LOFT/PR12/90709/CS3. The delicate texture and understated tone complement the transparency of the glass, presenting a minimalist yet sophisticated visual language. What’s more noteworthy is that, in pursuit of ultimate seamless integration, we adopted a design without retractable top and bottom seals — meaning that when the partition is closed, no mechanical structures are exposed, and the entire wall appears as a single, unified surface. However, this design places extremely high demands on installation precision, as any minor deviation can affect the final result.
Facing this challenge, our technical team maintained continuous video conference communication with the on-site installers in Singapore, providing real-time guidance and confirmation for every step — from track positioning to glass hoisting. In the end, the partition wall was perfectly completed, and the client expressed great satisfaction with the installation, praising it as “both transparent and quiet, exceeding expectations.”
Additionally, this project is equipped with 2 full-double-leaf doors, facilitating daily passage and further enhancing usability.
